"Dumb and Dumber 2" may see the light of day after all.

The long-proposed sequel to the 1994 hit, "Dumb and Dumber 2" has been in development hell for years. It seemed like progress had been made recently, but Warner Bros. announced it was dumping the project. Now, Columbia Pictures has picked up "Dumb and Dumber 2," which means we may get to see it soon!

"Dumb and Dumber 2" would most likely feature a return from stars Jeff Daniels and Jim Carrey, who play idiotic friends Lloyd and Harry as they travel cross-country to Aspen, CO. The movie was a surprise hit, grossing $127 million in the US and helping launch Jim Carrey's career as a movie star.

The two stars have wanted a "Dumb and Dumber 2" for years, but studio wrangling made it seem like it would never happen.
