Tom Grosset Becomes World's Fastest Drummer With More Than 20 Hits Per Second

Tom Grosset is the world's fastest drummer, and that's official. He broke the Guinness World Record for most single strokes (hits) in one minute (1,208), a record previously held by Dream Theater drummer Mike Mangini in 2005 for his 1,203-stroke effort. Now, this video can seem kind of underwhelming, because Grosset isn't playing on a full drum set — he's just breathing deeply and tapping away at a little pad. But to put that into perspective, that number means Tom's hands were moving more than 20 times per second for a full minute. We can't comprehend doing anything with that kind of speed, unless it involves pizza. Or popcorn shrimp.
