Ashley Tisdale has been seen out with her fiancé Christopher French since he proposed atop the Empire State Building last Thursday, but she's since managed to hide her engagement ring from photographers.

Nearly a week later, the former "High School Music" star and her rocker beau stepped out in Los Angleles, with Tisdale wearing what was obviously the rock.

E! described the ring has having a square-cut diamond surrounded by pave stones.

"Best night of my life. We're on top of the world," the 28-year-old said after her proposal on Thursday.

"Thank you guys for all your well wishes. Means so much to me. We're so grateful and excited. #imthehappiestgirlintheworld," she added later.

Tisdale and French started dating last year. A source told US Weekly that Tisdale likes " 'darker, bad boy' types."

"That is why she has always been attracted to him," the source said. "He is still a gentleman, though. [He] holds out her chair for her, holds the door, etc. but is still edgy, which is why they mesh."
