By Erin 0

When you’re in for a long wait, you may as well be comfy.

So these young One Direction fans turned up in London yesterday with cosy onesies, blankets and tents as they bagged their places for the band’s movie premiere tonight.

Holding bundles of photos awaiting autographs from their idols, the teenagers, many accompanied by parents, slept out in Leicester Square with around 70,000 expected to be there by the time the premiere kicks off.

Some dedicated Directioners have slept out since the weekend, desperate to be first in line to catch a glimpse of their idols.

In a bid to limit the crowds, organisers are encouraging people to stay away and watch from home:

'Event staff on the ground, the Metropolitan Police and Westminster City Council will be working together to ensure the safety of fans, guests and staff on the day,' a spokesman says.

The band have even been warned not to celebrate after the premiere, with Niall Horan revealing:

'The "after show police" have been trying to stop us doing anything because they'll be so many fans trying to get in. We were told that up to 70,000 fans could come along to the premiere. It will shut central London down.'
