George Clooney Speaks on Government Shutdown

The government shutdown is affecting a lot of people from many different walks of life. Even Hollywood celebrities are not exempt from it, and one such Hollywood star voiced his feelings about the current situation of the government.
George Clooney was at the New York première of his new movie Gravity where he spoke to reporters briefly, sharing his thoughts on the current crisis. He noted that the country is having a hard at the moment due to the government shutdown, but he remains optimistic about its speedy resolution:
He said he hoped that, “cooler heads will prevail” and that things will soon get back to business as usual. George Clooney also said he supported some “guys on the right,” such as Rep. Peter King (R-NY), who he thinks may be able to help resolve the current crisis.
He said about King: “I know for a fact that there’s a lot of guys on the right, Peter King, for instance, and some people like that, who are also doing the best they can to stop this from happening or to put an end to it,” adding, “You just hope that it happens soon.”
Gravity, Clooney‘s latest movie, is a 3-D Space thriller. Co-produced and directed by Alfonso Cuarón, the film sees George Clooney alongside Sandra Bullock playing two surviving astronauts on a damaged Space Shuttle.
The film is due for general release on October 4.
