Las Vegas police have appealed to the public for help in tracking down a suspect who fired a gun into a crowd during a gang fight and shot two innocent bystanders.

The altercation on the busy thoroughfare of Fremont Street began on June 8th when a fight between two unidentified men escalated dramatically in the small hours of the morning.

The fight broke out under the Fremont Street Experience canopy at around 2 a.m. as members of the public were enjoying the popular light display and was captured by surveillance cameras.

The video shows that the suspect, who is dressed in a white baseball cap, black T-shirt and cargo shorts approaches the fight, fire his gun and then run away.

He is seen to shoot at a man who is dressed in a white T-shirt and jean shorts and flees immediately after unloading rounds into the busy crowd.

Two people totally unrelated to the fight were shot and were rushed to University Medical Center where they were treated for their wounds.

Their conditions are not thought to be serious.

The suspect, who remains at large, is described as a black male approximately 17 to 22 years of age, approximately 5-feet-8, medium build and short dark hair.

No arrests have been made in this incident and the investigation is ongoing.

'What we have seen recently is aggravated by packaged liquor sales,' said Tom Bruny, Director of Marketing at Fremont Street Experience.

'We believe it does lead to more problems on the street of underage drinking, too much drinking and potential violence later in the evening, after people have drank too much,' he said.
