Steve Wozniak: Apple co-founder's house built in 1986 looks a LOT like one of his stores

For a man who has lived and breathed Apple since the 1970s, it's perhaps unsurprising that his home took influence from his innovative inventions.

Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak's former home, which he built in Los Gatos, California in 1986, has been put back on the market - and it looks rather reminiscent of one of his iconic stores.

The post-modern, property, with its stream-lined, white fittings and wooden floors, is up for sale for $4.395million.

It has dropped down from $5million last time it was on the market in February last year.

Although the home has been given a makeover, many of the original features are intact. The open plan design draws in plenty of light with its lofty skylights dotted across 7,500 square feet.

The home, which is being sold by real estate broker Arthur Sharif, includes six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, a swimming pool with waterfall and Koi pond.

The property sits in the affluent community of Los Gatos in Silicon Valley which is reportedly the 33rd wealthiest town in America. The downtown area is renowned for its upscale boutiques, galleries and Michelin-star restaurants.

Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs met in 1969, becoming friends while working for Hewlett-Packard in 1970. By 1976, Wozniak was refining his own computer design.

Apple Inc. was established in April 1976 and the first order of 50 computers was assembled in the Jobs' family garage.

It was the beginning of the two college dropouts' company which went on to become the world's highest-valued and turned Wozniak into a multimillionaire.
