According to Star magazine, Selena’s fashion designer pal, Marisa Ribisi, wife of singer Beck and sister of actor Giovanni Ribisi, is urging her to join the controversial religion.

“Marissa knows that Selena wants to be a big actress, so she reminds her how many stars are Scientologists,” a source said.

“Selena is just so sweet and trusting: she isn’t that good at standing up for herself. If she does get sucked in, it’s hard to imagine her ever getting out.”

Meanwhile, Gomez says people tell her she isn’t sexy.

The actress and singer, 21, said she’s told that if she acted differently, people would actually ”love” her.

The former Wizards of Waverly Place star thanked her fans for always supporting her and loving her for who she is.

“I don’t have to do any of that to have love!” she said.

Selena also said she chooses to cover up for her fans, because most of her fans are very young.
