Footage has emerged showing Simon Cowell’s awkward body language as he sits just one seat away from Lauren Silverman and her husband - Simon’s best friend Andrew.

Simon and Lauren, who is reportedly 10 weeks pregnant with his child, are separated only by his ex-finance Mezhgan Hussainy sitting between them as the group attend a charity event in Barbados in December of last year. 

The music mogul appears to be doing what he can to avoid eye-contact with Andrew and Lauren – who he is believed to have been dating for a year.

New York socialite Lauren seems however to be trying her best to break what looks like a very tense atmosphere.

Sitting in a teal blue dress, the pretty brunette is seen laughing and gesticulating and trying to engage Mezhgan in conversation.

Mezhgan meanwhile is sat with her hands crossed over her knees, looking rather standoffish – as she fails to smile once throughout the video.

Dressed in a black dress and with her hair sleeked off her face, her appearance seems rather hard compared to Lauren who looks far more relaxed.

Her husband Andrew, who has been friends with Simon for years, is sat on the outskirts of the group leaning forward.

However as he leans in to try and get eye-contact from Simon it appears the X Factor judge turns away from him towards Sinitta who sits to his left but does not engage her in conversation.

Throughout the footage Simon manages to avoid talking to anyone as he plays with a little boy – who appears to be Sinitta’s son Zac.

News broke on Wednesday that Simon is expecting a baby with Lauren, who is technically still married to real estate mogul Andrew. 

Lauren, 36, is said to be 'around 10 weeks along' in the pregnancy, according to Us Weekly magazine.

A friend of Lauren's told MailOnline: 'Lauren loves Simon, she says that she wants to marry him. And with the baby, she's going the right way about it! But I think this could be really good for Simon.'

Another friend confirmed the baby news and said 'yes, all true'.
