She didn’t really have a spring in her step on Wednesday – more of a wedge.

Indeed, Alex Gerarrd was spotted wearing a pair of distinctive gold coloured Jimmy Choo trainer boots when she stepped out for lunch in Liverpool earlier this week.

The 30-year-old WAG was heading out for a bite to eat with her personal trainer – and judging by her toned, athletic physique it looked as if she’d been spending plenty of time under his tutelage of late.

Mother-of-three Alex paired her distinctive boots with ripped skinny jeans and a sleeveless white T-shirt emblazoned with an image of Mary and Jesus, while her eyes were hidden behind a pair of sunglasses – despite the cloudy weather. 

As photographers snapped her heading back to her car she self-consciously toyed with her hair before climbing behind the wheel and pulling away.

Alex was last seen supporting husband Steven Gerrard as he celebrated 15-years with hometown club Liverpool.

The England skipper – who captained his country during Wednesday’s defeat of Scotland at Wembley Stadium - was joined by his Reds team-mates for a testimonial match against Greek giants Olympiakos in July.

Following the match, which Liverpool won 2-0, Steven swapped the kit for something a little more formal when he joined his wife and their two children, Lilly-Ella, 9, and 7-year-old Lexie, for a post-match soiree.

With their youngest, 21-month old Lourdes, tucked up in bed, Alex and Steven hit the red carpet before attending a meal in his honour at the Liverpool Echo Arena.

While Steven opted for a smart two-piece suit, Alex looked stunning in a baroque Versace gown with a thigh-high split.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, the footballer recently opened up about how his life changed when he met his wife.

'It was harassment more than anything, I think... My world changed when I met her,' he said.
