It's still six months to go before the Academy Awards.
However, it appears past winner Cate Blanchett is already getting Oscar buzz for her performance in her latest film Blue Jasmine.
The Australian actress, 44, attempted to play down award rumours as she attended the Sydney premiere of the film on Tuesday, insisting it was way too early to discuss such matters.

Standing out: Cate was very on-trend in her bright, almost neon dress
Arriving solo on the red carpet at the Orpheum theatre in Cremorne, the mother-of-three looked colourful in a bold orange maxi dress as posed for photographers.
When asked about the Oscar buzz, Cate told the Sydney Daily Telegraph: 'It's nice but what month are we in? That's shorthand for people saying they liked the character.'
The film, Woody Allen's 44th, stars Cate as a New York socialite Jasmine, who suffers a nervous breakdown and goes to live with her sister Ginger (Sally Hawkins).

Alec Baldwin plays Cate's husband Hal, with Bobby Cannavale and Louis CK also amongst the cast.
Speaking to the Telegraph about working with Woody for the first time, she said: 'It's a strange thing meeting one of your heroes, but he was fantastic.
'It exceeded my expectations. If he doesn't like something he says so and if he does like it he moves on. He's very direct.'

Critics are always predicting a slew of accolades for the actress's performance when the awards season kicks off in January.
Cate won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for The Aviator in 2004, but has been nominated a further four times, including two nods in the same year.
Blue Jasmine is on in US cinemas now and will be released in UK on September 27.
