Helen Flanagan’s wish to become a Playboy cover girl may well be granted thanks to its founder, Hugh Hefner.

The 87-year-old mogul is said to be keen on flying Helen to Los Angeles for a magazine shoot after hearing of her desire to become one of their latest pin-ups.

Hefner reportedly believes the 23-year-old has all the right attributes to be a Playboy cover girl after meeting her while she was in LA last month.

‘They heard she was keen to do a shoot,’ an inside told the Daily Star. ‘But they meet with countless girls every year. It was nothing special and Helen’s chances weren’t high.

‘But after Hugh set eyes on her, all that changed. He loves British women and has said she looks amazing. He’s made it clear she’d be perfect for the front cover of Playboy.’

Negotiations for the potential shoot could start as early as December, with Hefner reportedly keen to get something in writing as soon as possible.

‘He’s keen to get the ball rolling on this one,’ the source added.

Earlier this year Helen opened up about her desire to grace the adult magazine’s cover during an interview with FHM.

‘I’d love to do Playboy,’ she said in August, adding: ‘I have the best boobs I’ve ever seen on anyone in the world. Ever. They’re amazing.’

Helen’s curves were in evidence last year when she sported a skimpy bikini during her stint on popular reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Should her Playboy dream come true the actress will be following in the footsteps of Marilyn Monroe, whose face she has tattooed on her inner arm.

Helen  may well have had her Playboy expression in mind when she posted her latest selfie on Twitter.

Sporting a baleful expression, a garish scrunchie and the obligatory pout, the actress gazes out at her followers from the latest  shot posted on her account on Friday.

But while the subtle head tilt and faux-thoughtful gaze are standard practice for the former Corrie star, her distinctive eye colour is in stark contrast to previous self-taken shots.

Indeed, prolific tweeter Helen was keen to show off a pair of striking baby blues in the new photo, which was added to her account on Friday. 

The actress's irises dominate her shot courtesy of their azure shade, while the retro scrunchie used to tie her hair in a messy bun appears to be a perfect match.

Helen’s selfie was accompanied with a short tweet that suggested a calamity had taken place shortly after it was taken.

‘Before the fire alarm went off,’ it read.

The blue eyed star’s new shot appeared to be at odds with a similar post added to her Instagram account on Tuesday during a night out with pals. 

While an identical pout and expression are present and correct, her eyes appear to a darker shade of blue as she gazes into the camera.

Those darker eyes were also in evidence on Thursday, when Helen braved the cold in a semi-sheer top for an afternoon shopping spree with stylist pal Jodie Stringfellow and Jodie’s mother.

The two pals appeared close as they browsed a string of boutiques arm in arm, with Jodie also sporting an all-black outfit comprised of long printed sweater, leather leggings and strappy ankle boots. 

The celebrity stylist’s appearances with Helen have been increasingly frequent over recent months, and she admits the star called on her services after walking out of the Cheshire home she shared with midfielder Scott Sinclair in June.

‘She told me she wanted to be a bit more fun and get away from her old WAG look,’ she told OK! ‘She knew it was dated and she wanted to look a bit cooler and quirkier.

‘She keeps saying how happy she is with everything I’ve done for her.’
