As she descended upon the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire on Monday, Jennifer Lawrence and her sheer gown and leotard turned every head in the vicinity.
But two days later, the actress played it safe for the New York premiere.
While Jennifer still looked beautiful, she wasn’t the Girl On Fire this time in her black plunging blazer dress by Dior with a white and green printed bra top underneath.

Of course, it would be impossible for the star to top her show-stopping look from two days earlier.
But the 23-year-old seemed to be dressing too old for her years, particularly after her playful see-through number.
The black short-sleeved frock had lapels and pockets on the sides and a split up the front, and J-Law flashed a hint of her stomach below the crop top she wore with it.

Jennifer completed her look with black Manolo Blahnik sandals and a matching clutch bag, and her smoky eye make-up and pink lipstick were flawless.
While the Silver Linings Playbook actress took a backseat, her co-star Elizabeth Banks stepped into the spotlight.
The 39-year-old shined in a youthful black strapless top and trousers by Jenny Packham, which were covered in shimmering silver detailing.

Elizabeth, who looked like she was wearing a jumpsuit, also sported black Christian Louboutin stilettos, with red lipstick and her slicked back blonde hair adding to the androgynous look.
Jennifer and Elizabeth posed up with Liam Hemsworth, who was looking dapper in a navy suit which he paired with a white shirt and skinny charcoal tie.
Rising star Jena Malone was going for a dramatic 1960s look in a two-tone Valentino dress with white collared top and powder blue skirt.

In addition the 28-year-old was wearing blue satin platform pumps by Casadei and carried a diamante clutch that was also by Valentino.
Jena added to the Swinging Sixties feel of her look with winged black eyeliner and she wore her blonde locks swept into a bouffant.
Sam Claflin, the newest hunk to join the cast, looked suave and stylish in his black velvet jacket, matching tie, grey wool trousers and white shirt.

It wasn’t just those who are starring in the hotly anticipated Hunger Games sequel who were walking the red carpet at the premiere.
Helena Christensen looked amazing in a floral printed dress that hugged her famous figure, and she teamed it with gold toed shoes and lots of scarlet lipstick.
No doubt Lindsay Ellingson and Chrissy Teigen would have been hoping they could get some tips from the supermodel.

Lindsay wore a black dress with silver straps and trim across the neckline, while Chrissy sported a sheer black top under a leopard print coat and black leather trousers.
Brooke Shields and Patricia Clarkson were both looking far younger than her years with 48-year-old Brooke clad all in black in leather trousers, a top and a blazer.
Patricia meanwhile brightened up a chilly day in her colourful floral dress which she teamed with black peep toe boots.

Bridget Moynahan was also in attendance, sporting a black knit top and a sparkling full skirt.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will see Katniss Everdeen, played by Lawrence, forced to compete in the deadly reality show once more.
The film, which is the second instalment in the saga, will be released in the UK on November 21 and the US on November 22.
