An international footballer who bombarded a fan with x-rated texts was forced to confess to his wife after his mystery lover tried to blackmail him for £100,000.

After months of sending lewd messages the mystery millionaire sportsman asked his 'sexting' partner to meet for a one-night stand but she then demanded cash to stay quiet.

The star had offered £20,000, then £60,000 and finally £100,000 to delete their explicit conversations before he revealed all to his spouse.

The footballer, who plays for a well-know British club, had come into contact with the 'busty' unemployed girl after she messaged him online.

She had asked him for tickets and a signed shirt before teasing out details about his marriage.

Soon afterwards the star, who had said he would never cheat on his wife, began sending sexual messages.

He even admitted to her that footballers often help cover-up affairs, and referring to another professional said: 'I've kept hush for him a few times lol.'

In July he suggested that they meet for sex when the football season starts this month, and then checked she would keep their affair secret.

But then she threatened to spill the beans and wrote: 'Well it depends. How much I'd get lol,' according to The Sun.

'Have everything screenshot and saved in case u decide to f*** me about and block me. I've all messages backed up.'

When she found out his wife then grabbed his phone and sent a series of furious texts to the other woman.

'We aren't paying you. I wouldn't give you a penny. U know what. Ur just a slag. A complete waste of space.'

After offering to wire up to £100,000 he then told his wife, and the couple have decided not to go to the police.
