Austenland actress Jennifer Coolidge has opened up about being on-screen next to her slender co-star, Keri Russell.

'I'm the biggest actress on-screen,' the 51-year-old, well known for her Bend and Snap pick-up moves in Legally Blonde, told Entertainment Weekly's InsideTV Podcast yesterday in jest.

'I'm so much bigger than Keri Russell in these scenes,' Ms Coolidge says of the 37-year-old star, who was pregnant during filming. 'She is so thin it looks like she's my little doll friend.'

Ms Coolidge, who in Austenland plays a boy-crazy Jane Austen fan who gets to live out her own storybook romance, continued to weigh in on her own size.

'I'm like this giant lady in a big dress, there must be four or five kids under there! There's at least four men in each breast in size alone,' she joked.

During the podcast, in which the actress doles out dating advice, Ms Coolidge also obsesses over Ms Russell’s youthful face, before discussing the cons of good on-set catering.

'Keri Russell is one of the prettiest girls I've ever seen in my life,' she said. 'She one of those girls that doesn't have that thing when you walk in to the trailer in the morning and your face is all bashed in - like a lot of actors, ever the beautiful and handsome ones.

'You know, they come into the trailer and you're like, "Woa!". But [Ms Russell] doesn't have that, she just walks in and it looks like she's been in hair and make-up for four hours.'

The actress and comedian, who first attracted headline as 'Stifler's mom' in American Pie, revealed that she 'spends hours thinking about how Keri's face looks like that, that early.'

'She tells me she sleeps on her pillow at night, and there's just no possible way!'

Blaming the on-set English catering for a recent bit of weight gain ('It was like someone had a pot and was like, "We're going to put a bucket of sodium in!"'), she said she saw herself 'inflating'.

But nonetheless, the actress is proud of her curves - and she is possibly the first red-carpet regular to admit she is not a fan of Spanx.

'I hate Spanx,' she told the New York Post at a screening of Austenland on Monday night.

'Because even though they look so good under your clothes, sometimes mid-wedding I’ll be like, "I feel so nauseous."'

The actress, well known for her Bend and Snap pick-up moves in Legally Blonde, added: 'They’re so tight, who knows what you’re cutting off?'
