Everything's bigger in America, that's what they say, isn't it? The houses, the cars, the TV shows. Which is why, after Britain's Got Talent semi-finals, the judges trudge through the car park and go home for their tea, while in the US, the America's Got Talent semi-finals end with a party, a red carpet and probably around eighty-six cans of hairspray.

Mel B and Heidi Klum - who sit on the judging panel alongside Howie Mandel and Howard Stern - walked the glitzy red carpet at New York's Radio City Music Hall where the show's semi-finals are taking place.

The former Spice Girl wore a gold body con dress from Arrogant Cat, and let's face it: you'd LIVE in body-con dresses.

Heidi, on the other hand, looked glossy as a freshly brushed pony in a blue glittery dress and with her hair in a ponytail.

The show is also MASSIVE in comparison to the UK's version - they have a synchronised swimming team in the competition! The winner also gets one MILLION dollars - while poor old Attraction had to split a mere £250,000 between them.

The show's presented by Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon - yes, he's got a job past being 'Mariah's husband' - and it looks like Mel and model Heidi are of the 'we're best mates honest' school of judging. Just like Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden.

The two not-American judges cuddled up on the red carpet AND in front of what looks like a massive table full of cakes. They probably didn't eat any cakes ...
